Meet the Team

Our company started from an answered prayer. As the Brokers for RISE Texas, Alix and Lauren wanted to bring together a group of truly inspiring individuals and in the process, create a positive culture from which we could do our part to inspire and empower those we serve.  Their love for community and seeing it thrive, mixed with their desire to bring real relationships back into the industry, is how this company evolved into what it is today. At RISE Texas, we want to pick up the phone and talk to our clients, understand their needs, and care about their families. Our focus is on interactions, not just the transaction. We want to be the go-to for questions or advice before, during and after each sale. Our family has over 50 years in real estate and we have witnessed the changes in our industry. Lauren had the honor of receiving both “Rookie of the Year” and “Top Producer” her very first year in the real estate business. It seems like yesterday, but that was over 17 years ago in 2003. Thanks to referrals, wonderful clients, and repeat business, she hasn’t stopped since. Juggling her faith, family, and work, in that order, is no easy task. But like so many other hard-working people who deal with the same issue, she can identify and cater her services to your needs, keeping those three important principles in mind.

Lauren has three beautiful little girls and sees parenthood as the greatest blessing in her life. Her husband of almost 20 years, Nolan, is also a veteran in the real estate business specializing in land and commercial properties. They live in the Lomax area of La Porte, and thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere there, as well as all of their friends and neighbors.

Any agent can tell you what you want to hear. But if you’re looking for an agent to be honest, forthright, and realistic, she would love the opportunity to prove herself to you just like she has with so many others. Trust isn’t something that can be earned reading a few paragraphs. Nor would those paragraphs be able to justify her years of real estate experience and countless fruitful relationships with clients. Alix is a native Houstonian, who grew up in the real estate business. Walking in her Father’s footsteps, she received her real estate license in 2001 and subsequently earned her Broker’s license in 2004. RISE Texas is a new venture for Alix, whose background is in commercial real estate. After participating in a leadership program, she decided to start a new company, along side her dear friend Lauren Allen, that was focused more on people and relationships both inside and outside of the company. Alix has wide ranging real estate experience and is the supporting Broker for RISE Texas. She is happily married to Miguel Ramos, and they have two children who keep them on their toes.

Her cornerstone is integrity and believes that this is the non-negotiable that defines a company and the people it impacts. The real estate business can be very challenging, however Alix and the team at RISE Texas will problem-solve side by side with their clients until the transaction is successfully completed. Alix is very involved with her community, including the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, multiple steering committees focused on redevelopment, Houston Association of Realtors, and many other non-profit organizations.

Nathan will work tirelessly to promote your best interests, whether you are buying or selling a house. Nathan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hardin-Simmons in Abilene, TX. He taught high school social studies in Austin, Texas for two years, but returned home to the market he understands best in 2019.

When she was much younger, an unethical seller tried to commit fraud against her mom on her home purchase. This is the reason she became an agent, so she could represent those who need someone honest to protect their interests. Tom is a licensed broker in the State of Texas.  He obtained his license to help pay for college expenses.  His dad, M.C. Watson, was a home builder and real estate broker in Pasadena and Deer Park.  After college, he became a full-time employee at First Pasadena State Bank.  Tom had worked his way up to be a senior vice president and commercial lender when he left the bank after 17 years.  He was a senior officer and managed the commercial banking division of Home Savings Association in the Houston Galleria area before joining Texas Commerce Bank.  Tom was president of Texas Commerce Bank-Pasadena and later was a manager in the Private Banking Department.  He joined Clear Lake National Bank as president and CEO and helped manage the sale of the bank to Sterling Bank.  Tom joined and worked at First Community Bank as an area president and commercial lender until the bank was purchased by Wells Fargo in 2005.  In 2006, Tom was one of the organizing directors of Texas Citizens Bank.  He served as regional president of Texas Citizens Bank until he left and focused his attention on real estate.
